The colour the fleece grew to on its own, unhurried, in open air. The upper third — the part that faces the room, the part that is seen — is naturally pigmented in one of thirty-two acid-free colours. No synthetic dye, no chemical fixative. The colour sits inside the fibre the way colour has always sat in natural materials. Where the two zones meet, the line between them is not a seam. The sole is Amazonian caoutchouc — natural rubber harvested from wild trees. No plastic. No glue. Hand-stitched with waxed linen thread to the felt upper. It grips stone floors, wood, tile, and porch steps without sliding. The transition from indoors to a cold morning outside does not require a change of shoes.
