Why Wool Footwear?
I like wool because it does a lot without needing much added to it.
Dense undyed Alpine wool keeps warmth in when it is cold, but it also breathes. Once felted properly, it becomes surprisingly strong and keeps its shape without synthetic padding or layers hidden inside.
That is why I use it for men’s wool slippers, clogs, and boots.
Every pair is hand-sculpted in Vilnius from wool in its natural shade. No dye is needed, and I do not add synthetic filling just to make the footwear feel substantial.
The structure comes from the wool itself.
What Makes Undyed Alpine Wool Different?
The wool I use is dense, naturally textured, and left undyed.
Its color comes from the sheep, not from a dye bath. Depending on the fleece, the finished footwear can be cream, grey, brown, charcoal, or somewhere beautifully in between.
I work the wool by hand using wet felting until the fibers lock together into one seamless form. Small variations remain, and occasionally even a tiny trace of the meadow can stay caught in the wool.
I prefer it that way.
It reminds you where the material came from.
Seamless, Hand-Sculpted Construction
There is no conventional shoe upper stitched together from separate fabric panels.
I sculpt each pair from wool into a single felted form.
That means no interior seams rubbing against the foot, no synthetic padding, and no plastic reinforcement hidden inside the upper.
The result is simple: dense wool around the foot, shaped by hand and made to move naturally with you.
Which Sole Should I Choose?
The right sole depends on where you plan to wear your wool footwear.
For quiet indoor use, a soft wool sole keeps the pair light and flexible. If you want more cushioning, I can add natural latex layers. For harder floors or indoor and outdoor use, I recommend natural caoutchouc rubber because it protects the felt and considerably extends the life of the slippers.

Made for Wide Feet Too
Yes, I make wool footwear for wide feet.
If standard slippers usually feel tight across the toes or instep, I can sculpt the pair using your own measurements instead of relying only on a standard size.
This gives me room to adjust the width, toe shape, length, and instep around your foot.
The idea is not to squeeze your foot into the shoe.
It is to shape the shoe around your foot.
Are Wool Slippers Too Warm for Summer?
Not necessarily.
Wool is naturally insulating, but it is also breathable and good at managing moisture. That is why many people wear felted wool footwear beyond winter.
Of course, comfort is personal and depends on climate, activity, and how warm your feet naturally run, but wool is much more versatile than most people expect.
How Long Do Felted Wool Slippers Last?
That depends mainly on how often you wear them and what you walk on.
Dense felt itself can last for years, but hard flooring gradually wears any wool sole. If you plan to wear your slippers every day on wood, tile, or laminate, I usually recommend a natural caoutchouc rubber sole.
It gives the wool much more protection while keeping the footwear flexible.

I make each pair in my studio in Vilnius using traditional wet felting and a lot of hand work.
There is no factory line and no pre-shaped synthetic upper underneath the wool. The process is slow because the shape is built directly from the fiber.
That is also what makes every pair slightly different.
