The grass I leave in
The wool comes from sheep that spend the season high in the Alps. When I wash it, with water only and never chemicals, small pieces of dry meadow grass stay caught in the fibre. I leave them there.
Removing them would take a chemical bath, and that bath is exactly what I refuse. So the grass stays, a small dry trace of the mountain the wool came from. It is how you know the wool is exactly as it came off the sheep. What touches your head in the heat is wool, and only wool.

Undyed wool keeps the natural lanolin the fibre is born with, which helps it handle heat and stay breathable. Dyeing washes that lanolin away and leaves colour behind that you do not want near the scalp in high heat. My wool has nothing added to it. Only the wool itself.
