FELTFORMA's women's wool slippers in natural chestnut and Autumn Fleece are hand sculpted from living-shorn Alpine virgin wool — naturally pigmented, acid-free, toxin-free, and thermoregulating through every season, for those who bring the same care to what they wear at home as to everything else.
The chestnut is achieved with a natural pigment. No acid, no synthetic dye, no chemical fixative. It is the deepest warm tone in the naturally pigmented palette — richer than orange, closer to earth, the colour that settles a room without effort. Autumn Fleece inside — the warm dark beige the fleece grows to when the animal has spent a full season on the mountain. Where the two meet at the opening of the slipper, chestnut and beige find each other without effort. Two warm tones. One honest material.
The wool is water-washed only. The lanolin remains inside the fibre intact, creating a surface the skin reads as familiar. Not managed, not treated, not held at a distance by chemistry. Look closely and you may find a small piece of dry mountain grass pressed into the felt. It is left as found. The grass stayed. The toxins never arrived.
In winter the Alpine wool holds warmth without trapping heat. In summer it wicks moisture without intervention. The foot inside them simply functions as it was designed to — bare, unmanaged, and entirely at ease.
Each pair is wet felted and hand sculpted by Dovilė in her Vilnius studio. No seams. No glue. The form yields slowly to your foot until it holds the exact shape of you, and nothing else.
