Wide Fit Wool Slippers for Bunions
Seamless. Natural. Made to the shape of your foot — not a standard last.
Most slippers are made for standard feet with a narrow toe box. If you have bunions, wide feet, or foot pain — you already know they don't fit. Here's why seamless wool slippers with a true wide toe box make all the difference — and what to look for in handmade slippers that are actually made for your foot.
Spring arrives and suddenly your regular shoes don't fit again. Bunions don't care about the season but shoe shopping does — and if you have bunions, you know the frustration of something that looks fine in a size 8 but presses directly on the joint the moment you put it on.
Indoor slippers should be different. They should be the one thing your feet look forward to at the end of the day.
Why Most Slippers Fail Bunion Feet
Most slippers are made to a standard shape that assumes a standard foot. A bunion changes the silhouette of your foot at the widest point — and most slippers put a seam, a join, or a tight point exactly there.
"The joint needs room. Not padding, not compression — just space."
A wide toe box that doesn't press inward from either side. A sole that sits flat so the foot isn't tilted. And a material that gives rather than holds.
Why Dense Felted Wool Works
Because it's formed rather than stitched, there are no internal seams pressing against the joint. The wool compresses slightly with body heat over the first few wears and shapes gently to your foot — soft against skin without being loose.
No synthetic materials against already-sensitive tissue. Undyed Tyrolean wool wicks moisture, regulates temperature, and contains no chemical dyes or synthetic additives against your skin.
Made to Your Measurements
Every pair I make in the wide-fit collection starts with your actual foot measurements — length and width, not a standard size. If your bunion creates an unusual width at the forefoot, I account for that in the forming. If one foot is wider than the other, I can adjust each side independently (on request).

Frequently asked questions
Can you make slippers specifically for bunions?
Yes. The wide-fit collection is formed with an anatomical toe box that doesn't press on the bunion joint. I ask for your exact foot measurements — including width at the widest point.
Do you make wide fit slippers in very large sizes?
Yes — I make wide fit slippers in US men's sizes 13–16 and larger, for both men and women. Large feet with bunions are one of the hardest combinations to find footwear for. Send me your measurements and I'll form them to your exact foot length and width.
What if one foot is wider than the other?
Common with bunions. I can form each slipper to slightly different measurements. Just let me know when you order.
Are there seams that press on the joint?
No. The slippers are seamlessly formed from felted wool — no internal joins or stitching that create pressure points.
How long do they take to make?
Made to order — typically 2–3 weeks. I'll confirm timing when you order.
Do they work on hard floors?
Wool-sole versions are best for carpet and soft floors. For tile, stone, or hardwood choose the natural latex or rubber sole — both provide grip without synthetic materials.
