The split at the front is not an alteration. It is the design. The vamp opens permanently, allowing the wide foot to step in without force, without compression, without the moment of resistance that every other slipper requires. Once inside, the felt holds the foot exactly as it is — wide, specific, entirely its own shape.
Cliff on the exterior — the settled grey of Alpine fleece at altitude, the shade that belongs everywhere and announces nothing. Naturally pigmented green inside — achieved without acid, without synthetic dye, without chemical fixative. Where the two meet at the open vamp, dark grey and living green find each other at the exact point where the foot enters. That line was not designed. It arrived with the construction.
The wool is water-washed only. The lanolin remains inside the fibre intact, creating a surface the nervous system reads as neutral. Look closely and you may find a small piece of dry mountain grass pressed into the felt. It is left as found. The grass stayed. The toxins never arrived.
Each slipper is wet felted and hand sculpted in Dovilė's Vilnius studio. No seams. No glue. The form yields slowly to the wide foot until it holds the exact shape of you — and nothing else.
